At Gym Source, we appreciate the importance of personal trainers. That’s why we regularly spotlight local trainers who have a passion for fitness. This month we are featuring Tricia Brouk and her team at Brouk Moves Elite In Home Personal Training and Wellness in the New York area. Tricia started her fitness company over 25 years ago and still works with some of her original clients.

Tricia’s passion for fitness is seen in her dedication to taking care of her client’s health long-term. “It is absolutely important to train for weight management, strength and endurance, but my ultimate goal is to incorporate health and wellness into your life – for the rest of your life,” she says. Her approach to fitness is fueled by her desire to make sure that as you age, or as life happens, you are prepared.

Her team trains a wide-variety of clients including, women and men, youth, seniors, pre/post-natal, athletes, and clients with special needs including MS, Parkinson’s disease and stroke rehab. This is why she feels so strongly the first step to preparing her clients for a life of wellness and vitality is by creating a personalized plan.

“It is important that I personally assess each client prior to designing their program,” explains Tricia. Then, she pairs the client with a trainer from her team that is an ideal match.

Creating custom fitness plans means she can also recommend fitness equipment tailored to achieving her client’s goals. For example, if a client is rehabilitating from an injury, her team can help you with low-impact workouts during the recovery and rehabilitation period. Or, if a client is ready for a more challenging workout, she works directly with Gym Source to order product, ready to be incorporated.
