At Gym Source, we appreciate the importance of personal trainers. That’s why we regularly spotlight local trainers who have a passion for fitness. This month we are featuring Melanie Yoshida, founder of ‘Be Well With Mel’, who is a professional fitness coach who believes there is no single form of exercise that will meet the goals of each individual client.

Melanie started her fitness company over 15 years ago and her passion still runs strong for health and wellness – not fad diets. Instead, she offers an array of personal training, coaching and wellness program options custom tailored to help clients meet their unique fitness goals.

Melanie, known as Mel to most of her clients, takes a very individualized and personalized approach to training her clients. To provide the most tailored experience, it is important to her that she understand both your goals and limitations.

“Once I know someone’s obstacles, I know how to help them overcome them and crush their goals.” said Melanie. “ I take the time to get to know my clients and provide them with the tools, guidance and motivation they need to reach their fitness potential.”

When training clients, her favorite piece of equipment is the human body coupled with free weights, kettlebells, or the TRX fitness equipment. She believes combining resistance equipment with body weight is the most effective approach to sculpting and toning, and the best way to break a sweat without overworking muscles.

Her promise to her clients is that she doesn’t want to do anything that doesn’t provide value, and she believes the biggest value of her training, besides accountability, is helping her clients learn how to achieve a comfortable mind/body balance.

“I know what it’s like to need inspiration and motivation. My passion is to give it back,” she says.
