At Gym Source, we value the expertise of personal trainers. That’s why we regularly spotlight local trainers who have a passion for fitness. This month we are featuring Jared Silverstein, founder of Kinetics 360. Jared emphasizes, “everyone should constantly be reinventing their level of fitness.”
Jared is passionate about individualizing fitness training to individualized fitness needs for unique fitness solutions.
“There is no room for cookie cutter training programs. At any given time one of my clients are looking to run their first half marathon, rebuild strength after an accident, or return to their pre-baby weight.”
His newly established 2,400 square foot fitness facility, Kinetics 360, offers personal training, partner training, nutrition guidance, a variety of classes, and a 24/7 gym.
As research behind functional fitness continues to evolve Jared agrees it’s an essential component of training regiments. Much of his personal workouts, as well as his client’s, include kettle bells, bosu balls, TRX bands and sandbells paired with machine resistance training. However, variety is key.
“My clients (and their muscles) shouldn’t be able to predict the workout they’re about to endure. If they can, I haven’t done my job.”
By constantly altering the type and intensity of each workout our bodies don’t learn to adapt. Working different muscles, different ways, make it harder for our body to adapt to what we are doing, he shares.
When asked what Jared’s favorite piece of equipment was he without hesitation answered the Cybex Bravo Functional Trainer. “The versatility of the Cybex Bravo allows me to train any client on this piece. By adding a few attachments this machine really can be a gym in and of itself.”
He closed by passionately stating, “we live in a world where personal training has, at times, been minimized to someone watching you work out. I am here to re-invent the value of personal training providing my client’s with continued education and inspiration. I am not here to watch them workout, I am here to help them reach their fitness goals.”
Test, touch, and try a wide variety of gym equipment in store to find what fits you.
