Looking for fitness inspiration? Gym Source customer Lori Sweeney went from a size 26 to a 4, and learned how to obliterate obstacles to improved heath.
After spending much of her life overweight Lori decided to make a change. “I finally realized that as the weight increased, my freedom to do things decreased – and I wanted a new life,” she says.
She began by incorporating small changes into her lifestyle. She knew making changes slowly would prevent her from quitting, and her small successes snowballed into her big result – a loss of 125 pounds and a gain of a new life. Now she is on a mission to inspire others to change their lives.
As a motivational speaker, she boasts of the important role exercise plays in someone’s fitness journey. It is imperative to live a lifestyle that promotes both healthy eating and exercise, she says, which is how she found herself at Gym Source.
She decided to bring the gym to her, and started her home gym with the True ES700 elliptical. She sought the advice of Gym Source fitness equipment expert David Siegel at the Princeton, NJ location to find a home fitness solution that provided an effective workout, but was also low impact.
“I have had two knee surgeries so I needed something that wouldn’t aggravate my previous injuries.”
David worked with her to explore the many different options available to her that would support her personal fitness journey and goals, and make an excellent addition to her home gym.
Lori knows hard work is what got her to where she is, but she is appreciative of finding a piece of home gym equipment that “fits her lifestyle” and makes it easy to stick to her workout plan.
“I purchased the True elliptical because I wanted to work out from the privacy of my own home, and was tired of worrying about how I was going to squeeze a workout in everyday,” she says.
Lori’s weight loss is based on many things, not just one, and she is proud of the lessons she has learned along the way. Her focus is on inspiring average people to succeed in improving their health (both physically and mentally) and to start by making one small change at a time.
She is the author of a book that includes a lot of her tips and tricks, and speaks at various venues. To learn more about Lori, her book, and to see some of her tips, visit http://www.goodbyefatness.com/.
